Thus whistle is very easy to blow and it has a nice bight sound. It's pretty heavy so I probably wouldn't recommend it for someone who is just learning how to use a whistle.

Yes, this whistle is, as advertised, really easy to blow! Like the previous reviewer, I'm a novice whistler & this whistle is making it much easier for me to produce the sounds I've been struggling to produce. I'm so glad I went ahead & ordered it; I'd been debating whether I should get a second brass whistle, as I already had another brass whistle, so how much different could they be, right? Well, I was sure wrong--this whistle is making a huge difference! Thanks much!

This is really an awesome whistle. It has a crisp, clear musical tone, and is so effortless to blow that it is easy to get consistent sounds, which is always the hardest part for us novice whistlers. Highly recommend it for anyone, but particularly for folks who are struggling to get their dogs...and themselves...on whistles. This one will make it easy
