The Ventura Aluminum is made to their most recent, straight-sided profile which sits comfortably in the mouth. It is precision-crafted from lightweight anodized aluminum with the new Ventura 'sound chamber' - that is air hole and slot tailored to suit the density of metal. The result is a lightweight whistle that is easy to use, capable of an excellent range of tones (soft to very sharp) and very high volume over distance when you need it. A good all-round effective whistle which is particularly well suited to those new to this style of whistle or anyone who enjoys the Logan A1 but feel they need even more volume and crispness of tone.

First time using a Logan Ventura aluminum. Vicki recommended I try it instead of the Logan A1 which has been my one of choice. This whistle blows loud and true, like all Logans. Well worth the buy.

Amazing Customer Service from Vicky at Farm Diggity!
So, I'm new to shepherd whistles, therefore this review is more for Farm Diggity as a vendor than for the Logan Ventura. I'm still learning how to use this whistle, that being said after just several tries I was able to easily figure out how to use the whistle – I'm at the point where I can make various sounds, but figuring out how to go from one note to another note higher or lower. Every day it's easier and easier and I would say far easier than learning a more complex instrument. I am not yet totally control the instrument and whistle "songs" to use as commands, or even just marry had a little lamb it :) but I expect that in a week or so, I'll be able to whistle with this as well as I can with just my lips. All of that being said - if you're new to whistles and want to figure out which one is right for you - Call Farm Diggity and talk with Vicky. She's a charming lady who will help you discover what will likely be best for you without judgment or even trying to influence your purchase. Now that I have some experience with a whistle, the next one I want to order to try the fit for will be the "Farm Diggity Blue Bird". The Logan Ventura fits well, but from looking at the shape I think the Blue Bird might fit me better and give me more range of sounds that I can make given the shape of my particular mouth.
