? Looking for the Perfect Hobby Farm Companion! ?
This handsome 3-year-old intact male (ABCA) is looking for his own person and a hobby farm or chore home where he can be loved, included, and have a job to do!
❤️ An absolute sweetheart! He is one of the friendliest dogs you’ll meet and genuinely loves people, dogs, and kids. He is also good with cats and chickens, making him a great fit for a multi-animal household.
? At home, he’s a great companion. He does well in the house and crate, has good leash manners, and has a reliable recall. He may bark or whine when kenneled in a run, so a home environment would suit him best.
? He has a foundation on stock and loves to work! Trained to the PN level, he does best when he is home, comfortable, and familiar with his job. He has no shortage of grit, is happy to move sheep, and won’t give up easily. He has a good stop and is on whistles.
He does have some limitations as a trial prospect. In unfamiliar settings, his outruns tend to fall apart, and he can struggle to get deep enough, sometimes getting too tight and “goosing” his sheep. For this reason, he is not being offered as a trial dog.
His ideal home is one that values a good companion and a helpful farm dog over competition success. He has a huge heart, a friendly personality, and a willingness to work. With the right person and a job suited to his abilities, he has a lot to offer.
